guess what?
you never had to say the words
you never have to say good-bye
and I see it in your eyes tonight
all the pretense slowly dies
sometimes I wish I could be perfect
so I would never let you down
I can't bear the thought of you hurting
I'm sorry for all the things I'll do wrong
and I forgive you for everything too
maybe it's simple, but I know it's true
I'll concentrate on tomorrow
after I live though today
and I pray that I listen
to everything He has to say
I didn't know this would happen
