some circles complete
I was going to write a story
and it was based in truth
tonight I was going to read the Economist
so many signs of the times
all of my thoughts were in another place
I'll never be perfect
but I'm trying to be
and even when I'm sliding
I'm doing all I can see
she's flying to North Carolina
and all my thoughts are in a different place
the world changed again
oh Lord, the world has changed
every time she's not here
I'm just not the same
