is Eli the false prophet
who built a life on lies
who's hands are casting out demons
who's blessing is a disguise
these ends are just the beginning
some stories continually unfold
Daniel's too busy watching the fire
this evil competition
it divides the spirit of a man
what is driving this pursuit
and what ails the beating heart
some place that's never accomplished
the quiet stillness that comes with patience
oh Lord, these tragedies are never ending
