tiny voice
I heard a voice, a tiny little voice
reminding me to be brave
and just concentrate on today
"don't worry about tomorrow...
and don't let the anger betray your heart"
that's how it goes, wisdom only comes after
I am speaking bolder now
now that I have nothing to lose
sometimes the light that used to feel bright
isn't quite as clear as the darkness of the night
all my quiet observations and theories
they don't amount to as much
when a partner is gone
when there's no one to share it with
"I love you Father" and it's sleeping tears
one more day passes by without a sound
more than enough time has passed
and a memory is terrible thing to be left with
I've seen ghosts before
